O. Jesus didn’t need to speak aloud. He did to Glorify God and also so that those who were with him could see, hear, and understand His relationship with our Father.

A. Because of Jesus I know I am heard when I pray. Do I speak aloud? How do I Glorify God?  How do I show others the miracles He has done in my life? If I am not speaking and sharing it is all wasted.

P. Jesus, it is because of your death I know I am heard. It is from your example I am learning. Help me not miss opportunities to Glorify You and my Father. I have this unbelievable new life, brand new marriage, new children and death no longer chases me around.. all because of You…. thank you Lord…..love me

O. The prophet Zephaniah was telling the people of Judah judgement was coming but he urged his people to repent and beg for mercy.

A.   Craziness: People who pretend to know God but really don’t have a clue. America is falling away from God, His word, His values, His heart. I know He is still in charge and this makes me want to dig even deeper into my Lord.

P.  Lord Jesus..I pray that this time in America more and more people come to know you and turn away from whatever they have been holding on to. That they come to depend on you and you alone. May they come to realize everything in this world is fake and worthless and ends in death, not the eternal life you promise. Lord cement my mind & heart in You, so I can never look away. Thank you for opening my eyes, giving me new life, new understanding. I pray you keep leading, guiding and growing me. May I always be open and available for You…..love me

O. Like the sea, those who do not put their faith in the Lord are in a constant state of worry. Their minds are full of panic, with selfish thoughts and fears.

A. I almost cant remember who or what I trusted in before my Lord…Oh yes, that would be my husband for my happiness and my credit cards for my security and me for my own identity, and never ever did I find peace or purpose.

P. Lord……..Thank you……..love me

O. Whenever we share the love of Jesus it always makes a difference whether we see it or not. The difference is what God wants, not me. It may be a transformed life or just a tiny little thought in a mind. God’s word is not like anything useless, still or empty.

A. There are some people I would like to smack in the head with my bible and say “This is what you need, what you are looking for”, but that is me trying to accomplish Gods work. I just need to be me and He will do everything else.

P. Lord, I pray you give me an overabundance, overflowing amount of patience. Nothing I accomplish will last, I want it to be all of you. Keep teaching me and guiding me. I know you will give me what I need, at the right time, to do your work, which is everlasting. Thank you Lord…..love me

O. It is all about getting to know Jesus, this is the key, He is the key.

A. This statement is comforting, I don’t know Jesus all that well, but that is ok, I am and will always be getting to know Him. I didn’t want to get to know Him for a long time and really thought was ok, enough, boy was I so so wrong. Recently I heard a profound statement, it is not in Addition but in Submission. He is the answer and he is right here waiting, we just have to WANT to get to know him.

P. Oh Lord, You are the answer. People are searching in all the wrong places and you are right there. Never stop working through me to show your Love and Mercy. Push me out of the way when needed…Thank you,Thank you, Thank you, for everything…love me

O. God is speaking through the prophet Isaiah. Like a father who wants the best for his children, if Israel would have just listened to Him, life would have been lived peacefully.

A. Oh how I wish I had known the Lord all my life, really known Him, so much wasted time on myself. I know Him now and try to believe He found me at the time He wanted, for His plan and use. I am soo thankful that my children have started their own relationships with Him much much earlier than I.

P. Lord, There is no life here without You. It’s just misery, struggle and pain when you are not my center. I pray that you keep working, growing and teaching my children so that they follow you wholeheartedly. I pray you deepen our faith, love and knowledge, individually and as a family..lead us always…..Love me

O.  No one can escape that awful pride, what selfish idiots we can be. Our God is soo forgiving as long as we truly repent as ask for forgiveness. 

A. No matter how much I try to put my self interests behind, if I am not constantly focused on God’s plan, my pride rears its ugly head, and it is UGLY.

P. Lord, I am so grateful that the stupid selfishness I have can always be forgiven. I pray that I will come to you less and less about my dumb actions and more of my time with you will be spent just in prayer and worship. Lord I pray you never stop changing me to what you see and want…love me

O. Nothing the people did to protect themselves helped. Instead of turning to God in remorse, forgiveness and help they took it upon themselves for their needs.

A. I have a Father and a Great Priest who I call friend. He is watching and waiting for me to turn to for everything. The Creator of infinity is right here, right now. I do turn to him but not like I should nor as much as I should. That certainly does not honor my Lord. I seem to try to figure it all out by myself, it’s exhausting and I know gets me crazy,  thats when I eventually turn to the only one who really knows me. I am learning though, I do know who and where to go for my plans, direction, goals, dreams, and help…all of it.

P. Father, Thank you. Thank you for what you have done, are doing, and will do. Lord I don’t know if it is humanly possible but my desire is to be totally dependant on You. Teach me, guide me, use me. Grow my patience, faith, and understanding. When I am in need let my first though be to You….Love me.

O  This chapter of Hebrews is AMAZING. The people listed had faith and patience, and God saw.

A  I think faith is the key God uses to drive me. When I worry I am shut down and God cannot do anything through me. My faith has been weak lately. My vision of eternity has been clouded. I have allowed troubles to consume my thoughts. Although I know God is here, I haven’t been focusing on Him, its been all about me, me, me and my worried mind. But I will refuse to worry, I know He has placed me on a path and will not let me fall off. How great is He, this chapter is exactly what I needed to read today, and he knew that.

P  Father forgive me for not trusting in You and You alone. Please keep teaching me day by day, minute by minute. This world is just a mess of troubles but I know the gift I was given and where I will ultimately be. Help me cement this vision in my mind. While I am here, use  these struggles to glorify you and help others. Lord if faith is a muscle please pump mine up, strengthen mine….thank you Father…. love me

O. Sooo many people are stuck. Stuck in sin, fear, guilt. God is just waiting to take that away. He provided a way for a new life, new hopes, new dreams. If people would just decide, choose to look towards Jesus. In Him we are new.

A. Our God, the creator of eternity, is waiting for us to choose Him, I did. He has washed me and is still washing me. I have new hopes, new dreams, new desires…they are all His, and they are beautiful.

P. Lord, thank you, thank you, thank you. Lord, had I not been broken and empty, if I was rich and self sufficient, would I have found you? I am thankful for each and every step I took that brought me to you. You have given me peace and joy. I have children who love you and a family that is united for you. I am soo blessed. I pray that people will turn towards you and see what real life is and find a true love that is not found in this world, thank you Lord….love me
